Teaching at CCAD has shown me how writing and literature courses provide students a venue for producing standout art and design pieces. I am continually impressed by my students' abilities to translate pressing societal issues, and contemporary and classic literary texts, into various mediums in meaningful ways. They connect local and global concerns to their everyday lives, filtered through the lenses of their respective skills, passions, and artistic visions.

Many courses I teach at CCAD require a final project and presentation based on topics of their own choosing (some of which they have studied intensely throughout the term). The efforts students put into these projects serve three purposes: to educate themselves, to educate their peers, and to educate me, all of which they do impressively. This is a showcase for some of those standout moments from my students, past and present.
