Faculty Bio:
Kim J. Landsbergen Ph.D., Associate Professor, Cross-Disciplinary Studies. Director of Liberal Arts, member of MFA Graduate Facuty, and Head of the Science Department. Teaches courses in: Ecology, Sustainability, Infographics, Biomimicry and Applied Botany (Plants and People, Applied Science of Gardening).
Landsbergen is a certified senior ecologist with the Ecological Society of America and owner of CarbonEcology Consulting. She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed ecology papers in scientific journals. She holds an appointment as Visiting Research Scholar with Ohio State University’s Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology.
B.S. in Chemistry and Biology, University of Memphis, 1991; M.S. in Forest Ecology, Duke University, 1994; Ph.D. in Forest Ecosystem Analysis, University of Washington, 2000. Conducted a post-doctoral fellowship in climate change and forest function at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
