Figure Drawing

This class is about 3 hours long. Every class we draw from models, usually the sessions last from 2-3 classes for each drawing. The media changes every time, as well as the type of paper we draw on, which provides a greater understanding of all the different types of effects you can achieve. 

Outside of class, the homework assignment involves coming up with a theme or a concept that uses the human figure or shows an environment where the human has been. This might have sounded too easy so Professor Schramer added to the assignment by encouraging us to find new and creative ways to use materials/media. We have to add something different to each piece; this is our opportunity to really play around with media. I decided to focus my concept on using the elements of the human body to create aesthetically pleasing design. My goal is to develop this idea in a series of 4.
