Project 4: Stop Motion Video

We were asked to create a stop motion film lasting 60 seconds that illustrated a myth or legend. We used claymation to show the greek origin myth of the hyacinth flower. In the myth, the god Apollo falls in love with a handsome Spartan youth named Hyacinthus. The two all in love and the west wind, Zephyrus, becomes jealous. While Apollo and Hyacinthus throw the discus together (a popular greek sport) Zephyrus blows the heavy disc back where it hits Hyacinthus in the head, killing him. Apollo tries to heal him to no avail and from his blood sprouts the hyacinth flower.
