This in-depth studio class features the human figure as the primary subject for drawing. My in-class work takes a more traditional approach to figure studies; most classes start off with a few quick gestures as warm-up, which are followed by an extended study. These studies are intended to be well-rendered, although they often are left unfinished.

My Portrait Series is a series of four pieces that I completed outside of class. Each piece portrays a subject in an environment that I feel captures their essence. Throughout the process I experimented with my materials, both in what they were and how I used them.
